Yoga - Frequently Asked Questions

Am I flexible enough for Yoga?

You do not need to be flexible, strong or “good at Yoga” to come to Yoga. All people and all bodies are welcome in these classes and variations are always given to suit different bodies, energy levels, moods and goals.

Yoga is not about touching your toes; it’s about what you learn on the way down!

I have a health condition / injury / concern / am pregnant. Can I still do Yoga?

Please let Jeni know of any concerns or specific requirements you may have so that you can be guided with respect and consideration. If you would rather not give details, then you can simply say that you would like to take the class at your own pace and you will be welcome to join in as much or as little of the guided class as feels OK for you.

What should I wear and bring?

Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in. Have bare feet or socks, preferably with non-slip soles. Wear layers so that you can remove a layer if you get warm, and add a layer for relaxation parts of the class. If you are coming to a Mat Yoga class, please bring your own mat. There will be one or two mats available to borrow if you forget or have not yet purchased one.

What age are these classes suitable for?

Jeni’s Mat Yoga class and the Chair Yoga class are both open to anyone aged 18 - 118!

My yoga classes are for he, she, they, old and young,

happy and sad, short and tall, big and small…

please come along with an open heart.
