Over the course of 6 weeks we will work through deep restorative Gentle Somatic Yoga flows and exercises to reduce stress and tension in the body and the mind. This series of classes will leave you feeling relaxed and restored whilst also engaging your body and mind on a very physical and connected level.

We hold stress and anxiety in the body – in tense shoulders, tight hips, aching back, sore neck. Gentle Somatic Yoga is a physically deep and educational movement therapy that restores and reconnects the interaction between brain and muscle, giving you the awareness and control to heal persistent tensions in your own body.

Each class will consist of breathing exercises and gentle movement flows, relaxing restorative positions and then incorporating these movements into yoga positions and functional movement practices.  Homework exercises will be suggested and on occasion there will be handouts, videos or emails to detail homework exercises.

Breathing exercises will be accompanied by the use of therapeutic grade essential oils.

This is an open level course and there will be options for all abilities. No prior experience of Somatic Movement or Yoga is required.
